===================================== V B A C M W I S H L I S T . T E X T ===================================== Below is a list of new features requested by users, or assumed by the developer. Any features listed here will eventually be done, but are big changes and will have to wait until the next major release sometime in late 2000 or early 2001. In the interim, we will release patches as needed (hopefully none) to fix bugs. I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to install and use VBA Code Manager, and then to go beyond and email me with these excellent suggestions. Without your excellent input, VBA Code Manager would not have gotten this far. ----------------------------------------- WISH LIST: ----------------------------------------- 04/06/2000 ---------- - Create Help File. - Finish adding code for the functions listed that are empty. - Start perusing websites and pull code and ideas for new functions and subs to add. - Make it an Add-In (hmm, don't know how, could somebody email me the knowledge base articles, etc. Help file started leading me down that route, but don't have time to spend 1-2 hours researching it because do not need it... however, if you did it, then I would love a quick doc on the table changes and code changes required). ----------------------------------------- REQUESTS WILL NOT DO: ----------------------------------------- - Re-write in VB. Access is good enough for now. For me to ponder the notion of re-writing in VB, there would have to be sufficient source code in the codebase to really make it worthwhile. Until that time, I want to leave it as is in Access. - Compile as an MDE to conceal the source code. Nope, the whole point of this application is to share code, so why hide the source for the app...especially a beta app that is bound to have bugs...bugs that others can fix then send me the patch code. (Nobody would request this, but fitting place to put it in the absence of a help file.) code
